I've noticed a lot of people putting there big gas hog trucks and SUV's up for sale.

I love it.. something good comes out of the gas price spike. Maybe people will be forced to return to actual road cars and leave those f'n trucks and SUVs for what they were intended for. THAT's a shame (not).

I think you will see a shift to smaller, more sensible cars, although last month the sales of cars and trucks were about equal here. It was down from the preponderance of trucks and SUVs we had been seeing. And it is likely some of the SUVs were some of the new crossovers that get better mileage.

As I have just learned: if you have problems with gas, all you need is a beano emoticon

Yeah, but the problem is too little gas, not too much. Hey, maybe there is a solution to the gas crisis after all - I understand methane burns pretty cleanly and from the posts on this board would seem to be plentiful.

We've hit £6 - or $11.81 USD - for a gallon of diesel.

Unbelievable and now they are saying it really isn't the actual price per barrel but oil speculators that are driving the prices up. I am all for free market economy and minimal government interference but if they can prove that a handful of speculators are responsible for this fiasco I think they should hang them and bury them in the Klopeks back yard.
