Re: blah, putting a cat to sleep :-0

My Dad had a ferret for years ~ Noop and I was scared half to death at first... I have a thing about rodents, but wow was he so cool. We even walked the little joker on a leash. He was just so fun. This was a while back my boys (18 / 15) were just little guys. He loved the boys and the boys loved him. Nooper did all kinds of little tricks and was just so fun to have around. When he died, we were all heartbroken. He loved a bath played just like a seal in the tub. Dad actually had a huge cage for him that he kept the door open on Noop was free to do as he wished and he was litter box trained, never had accidents in the house or up at camp.

We had a great experience with ours.

Ferrets are very playful, inquisitive and gentle. They demand a lot of attention in that you can't leave them alone for very long like you can cats, but I think they are an overlooked household pet.
