What Are Your Top 10 Most Watched Movies?

I started thinking recently about how many times I've watched The Burbs, and then I moved on to thinking about other films I've watched many times. So I thought I'd share my top 10 films, based solely on number of times I've seen them.

It didn't take me long to realise that my entire top 10 are all from the 1980s!

1. The Burbs (probably seen it 500 times)
2. Back To The Future (probably seen it 300 times)
3. The Goonies (probably seen it 250 times)
4. The Karate Kid (probably seen it 250 times)
5. Die Hard
6. Big
7. Ferris Bueller's Day Off
8. Adventures In Babysitting
9. Commando
10. Deadly Friend

Probably all of those right down to number 10 I've seen more than 50 times. I'd love to see your lists too. What 10 films have you seen the most times? I bet not many of you have got Deadly Friend on your lists!

Here are a few of my other most watched films that didn't quite make my list:

Big Trouble In Little China
The Breakfast Club
Stand By Me
Robocop
A Nightmare On Elm Street
Rocky 4
The Lost Boys
License To Drive
Heathers
Gremlins
Road House
Lethal Weapon
Wargames

Good choice, Kris, I'm sharing a lot of your choices and there is virtually nothing to add from my side but a few more. I'd probably add (to bring in some 90's movies as well emoticon ):

- Dennis the Menace
- Jurassic Park
- Speed
- Face Off
- Con Air
- Last Action Hero

Looking at your list it really seems the magic of these 80's movie is totally gone. Just yesterday I watched "Skyline". What the hell was this? Totally dull, stupid characters. A virtually non-existing storyline. The only good thing were the special effects but the rest? I have the feeling lots of movies are like this nowadays, looking good but easily forgettable.

Last Action Hero is one of my favorite movies, I always stop on the channel when it's playing.

Lots of people have Fright Night on their list. It seems crazy to me that I only saw it for the first time about 3 weeks ago. I don't know how I went that long without ever seeing it!

I really do love weird, spooky films set on pleasant American suburban streets. Deadly Friend is on my list for that reason too. I really wanted to live on that street, especially if Kristy Swanson was living next door.

Demon Princess didn't need to tell us it was the original Fright Night on her list. That's a given. Fright Night captures the same feeling as the 'Burbs, Goonies, etc. for me, and is my favorite vampire film.

I've never watched Deadly Friend, but it's on my to watch list. Is it any good?

It's good if you live very bad B movies emoticon A lot of why I love it is the nostalgia from watching it so many times as a kid. It's got a bad ending too. But I love a lot about it, especially that eerie all American suburban street setting. Actually, the street it's set on is the closest I've ever seen to The Burbs street. You can see some pictures of the street in Deadly Friend here:
